The victim

Michael was a kind and caring person. In the early 1970s he met Henry and they decided to move to London. They had a happy life together until Henry died in November 2001. Michael was lost without Henry. Several years after Henry passed away Michael met another man, 'Ree' (aka Ricky). They decided to sell his flat in London and move to Brighton together at the end of 2011.

Michael worked for several years for Canon doing clerical work before a change of employment found him working in St George's Hospital in the neurology department.

He enjoyed working with people and helping them while they were receiving treatment.

Michael's family said: "We miss our brother terribly. He was a good man and despite living at the other end of the country would always keep in contact with us. It's been an incredibly traumatic time for us and it's very difficult for us not to know how Michael died. It is so important to us for people to help Sussex Police find Ricky and we would ask that anyone who knows where he might be to please contact the police."
